Okay I have a confession to make, I really don’t like bananas! Well, I don’t like to eat them by themselves but I LOVE to eat them in baked goods and smoothies. So basically they are my least favorite fruit by themselves but they are my favorite fruit to make recipes with.
You guys probably already knew that we love banana baked goods just from looking at our recipes such as this banana bread, breakfast pizza, muffin tops, etc.They add the perfect natural sweetness and delicious gooey texture to baked goods that we all swoon over. That’s why I added them in this delicious, easy, and nutritious protein snack cake.

Almond flour
Banana

This Protein snack cake is so delicious and easy to make with only 5 real food ingredients! Gluten-free, grain-free and paleo!
Banana Chocolate Chip Protein Snack Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup Rootz protein powder feel free to sub in another protein powder!
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 ripe bananas mashed
- 1/3-1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 and line an 8X8 pan with parchment paper.
- Mix almond flour, protein powder and baking powder in a large bowl.
- Add in mashed banana and combine well.
- Add chocolate chips and stir.
- Add batter to pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.
