Looking for healthier scones? Make these Vegan Glazed Oatmeal Chai Pumpkin Scones! They taste like fall, but without the gluten and refined sugar!
I feel that it’s appropriate to assume people are more productive working at a coffee shop than at home. Literally every time I walk into Starbucks (or any coffee shop) there are no seats available because everyone is busy on their laptops either working or studying.
There is just something about getting work done with a coffee and pastry by your side. It makes working/studying so much easier and more joyful. Whose with me on this one? When ever I have the time, I go to Starbucks to do things on the blog that I hate doing, because God knows I won’t do it when I’m home. So how does this tie into today’s recipe? Scones.
Coffee shops have scones and scones are delicious. But scones are high calorie, have virtually no nutrients, and do nada for your body. Buttt they accompany coffee/tea really well. Hot caffeinated beverages + scones = soul mates.
Of course I would love to order a scone at a coffee shop, but that would be bad-news-bears because gluten and sugar💩💩💩
Thank God I’m a blogger and I sometimes know how to bake, so my God-given talent saved me on this one. I’ve done oatmeal scones before and based this recipe off of them. Also had to make a pumpkin version because everyone loves pumpkin! I also chai spices to it, Mmmmmmm!
But wait, there’s more. A pumpkin chai glaze is drizzled on top of the scones, because glazes make everything better. 👈Proven fact💁. So not only do you get tasty scones that you and your coffee have been longing for, but you also get some good nutrients, fiber and homemade goodness.

Questions of the day!
What’s your go-to Starbucks order?
What’s your all-time favorite flavor of scones?
I love this idea! I never order the baked good for coffer chains, but I love having cleaner, homemade version at home!
I’m one of those people in Starbucks 😉 That place is great for banging out work and productivity! Too bd I always finish my coffee in .5 seconds though 😛
Oh yum! I wish I had a batch of these now and that drizzle is to die for! You know I always get so much done at Starbucks. Somehow I’m more focused than at home. Go figure!
I will definitely agree, coffee shop work is much more joyful than at home work! Although more productive…I’m not sure for myself personally. People watching can be all too fun and distracting 🙂 But there is something nice about the communal feeling of busy-ness. And the snacks. Definitely the snacks. And these beautiful scones are just bursting with coffee shop vibes! Do you think they’ll get made if I bring my own scones to the coffee shop? Because these look way better than any I could find there 🙂
Oo yum! I like how these scones are healthy and full of whole grains. I get as excited about chai as I get about pumpkin spice.
This looks amaaaaaaaaazing! I don’t like Starbucks (I think being Australian makes me a coffee snob as Starbuck’s coffee just doesn’t taste good to me!), however, when I’m ordering from a cafe or coffee shop it’s usually a latte – especially if they have almond milk lattes! <3
I totally agree that you can work better when well fueled with some delicious baking, and these are perfect for FALL time! 🙂
I adore scones and wish I had had one of these for my breakfast – ooh that Pumpkin Chai Glaze sounds wonderful!

I love scones. We make a different kind here in Scotland, but I’ve never ever had pumpkin chai glaze before on my scones. That looks amazing!
I 100% agree that coffee, baked goods and computer work go hand in hand. Which is what I’m doing right now 😉
I haven’t had a scone in what feels like forever, which is a shame because I totally adore them! I love the flavors here – definitely giving these a try!
Oh wow! I love this idea so much!!!! Yum!
