These Crispy Barbecue Spiced Brussels Sprouts are a tasty + addicting side dish that anyone will love, even brussels sprouts haters! Vegan, Paleo + Whole30 Friendly!
Would you be surprised if I told you that brussels sprouts have been one of my favorite foods since I was little? No, seriously. I have always loved my veggies, even the most disliked ones. I guess I can thank my mom for cooking them well because I never thought they were bitter or disgusting.
It’s really all about how you cook brussels sprouts. If I tried them raw, I probably would think they tasted pretty bitter too, but I would not even try to eat them without cooking them. The key is roasting them until they are slightly crispy.
Have you ever had fried crispy brussels sprouts at a restaurant? If you haven’t, you really need to, even if you swear you hate brussels. Crispy brussels sprouts make me weak at my knees😍
I tried to recreate restaurant-style Brussels Sprouts and it turned out to be a tasty success. I added my own spin by coating the Brussels Sprouts with a sweet and slightly spicy bbq spice mix. Wow, talk about a flavor explosion in your mouth, these brussels are everything!
You probably already have all the spices you need in your kitchen!

Brussel sprouts are literally one of my favorite vegetables of all! I love roasting them until they’re nice and crispy. Also, they can pair deliciously with any sauce, but my favorites are barbecue (as in the recipe), orange sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, balsamic vinaigrette, and curry sauce!

I made these tonight and they were really tasty! I served them with a garlic aioli with homemade mayo from another brussels sprouts recipe that we like. The spices add a really nice touch. We’re doing the Whole30 so we didn’t do the sugar and I didn’t have liquid smoke, but everything else came together really nicely. Thanks!
Bethany And Rachel says
So glad to hear you enjoyed them Andrea!

Have a sudden craving for some jalapeno peppers? Or want some spice in your pasta or burger that can provide you with that uniquely tender taste you’ll forever need in your favorite dishes? Grill Jalapenos are one of the hottest peppers in the world. They have the ability to transform the flavor of a serving once and for all.
If you’re someone who likes some spice in their food, we recommend grilling jalapenos as the perfect spice ingredient for you. Once you deal with all the cutting and cleaning, the spice would actually end up being much less than you think it to be. It helps if you know how to cut off the right parts to gain that result. However, nothing, and I repeat nothing can beat the taste of grilled and finely roasted jalapenos. They have a rare, smoky flavor that enhances the taste and aroma of your dish, giving such a unique appeal to it.
This is the exact reason why we’ve got you the best recipe for grill jalapenos. You might seem a little complex at best but is extremely simple once you carry out each step. The recipe absolutely isn’t overwhelming and would definitely help in providing you with the best-roasted jalapenos.
