New Favorite Protein Bars:Krush Bars
Protein bars are my go-to snack when I know I won’t have time to eat a substantial meal. While a lot of protein bars seem healthy, most of them are full of artificial flavors and ingredients. Good thing I can across Krush Bars! So excited to share this review with you guys!!

I was sent two flavors: Birthday Cake and Apple Pie. They were both amazing and both knocked it out of the park for me! Seriously the best protein bars I’ve ever had!!

A little bit about them…..
Nutrition: Similar to any protein bar in terms of protein (20 grams) and fat (9 grams). Added bonus: Only 3 grams of sugar and 17 grams of fiber per bar!
Ingredients: All natural ingredients! No artificial flavors or colors like some bars have! They are Gluten-free, low carb, have no added sugar and are high fiber! Im impressed!
Texture: So soft and fluffy! They basically melt in your mouth! They are great when you microwave them as well!
Price: Pretty expensive for protein bars but similar to price of quest bars. Well worth it for a great quality and great tasting protein bar!
Check out some tasty recipes made with Krush Bars by you can make with them!

WIAW: LOVE PUMPKIN!!
Hey Y’all! Time for another round of WIAW! I just love how the weather is cooling down! I love all the flavors of fall and can’t wait to share my eats with you this week! Sit back, relax with your cuppa joe! Thanks to Jen for hosting!
Breakfast
I love my oatmeal mixed with coconut flour, it makes it so fluffy and thick! Today I had my Nutty Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread Breakfast Bake, aka Heaven in a bowl!
Nutty Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread Breakfast Bake
Serves 1
- 1/3 cup oats
- 2.5 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 egg white or flax egg
- 3 Tbsp. canned Pumpkin
- 3/4 cup water or almond milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp crushed nuts (i used a mixture of almonds, pistachios, cashews and pecans!)
1. Mix everything together in a bowl and microwave for about 3-5 minutes, or until all water is absorbed. 2. Top with more nuts and chocolate chips if desired! 3. Enjoy!
Lunch
I made my lunch before going to work because I knew I wouldn’t have time after practice. This is basically breakfast for lunch: a meatless sausage patty with one scrambled egg, half a sweet potato, corn and black bean salsa and some mustard! So filling! I also had a large hot coffee from Dunkin Donuts with almond milk( so happy they have it now!) with Truvia.
Snack
I was hungry about 3 hours after lunch and knew I wouldn’t have time for dinner so I came prepared with snacks. I brought a Birthday Cake Krush Bar (so good!) and a packet of Barney butter. I also had an unpictured orange.
Dinner (ish)
I was starving by the time I got home so I made a huge yogurt bowl which consisted of plain greek yogurt, a big spoonful of cottage cheese, pumpkin and some natural peanut butter. I topped it with bran flakes and a drizzle of agave. I also had a juicy apple (un pictured).

Hey Y’all! Time for another round of WIAW! I’m loving fall flavors like pumpkin and apple pie! Big Thanks to Jen at Peas and Crayons for hosting!!
Breakfast
Breakfast was the usual, oatmeal. But I’ve been loving adding some coconut flour! This is 1/3 cup oats with 2 Tbsp, coconut flour and water. I added half an apple, cinnamon, mixed nuts, a few dark chocolate chips, and spoonful of pumpkin and of course a dollop of natural PB!
Lunch
Lunch was in my dorm room since the dining hall is only open at brunch and dinner. I hate brunch because I have a fast metabolism and need to eat every few hours or blood sugar drops quickly. This is a Vanilla Apple Pie Protein Smoothie with Sunwarrior Protein Powder! This was soooo good and perfect for fall!!

1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 frozen apple, sliced

The smoothie did fill me up very long so a little while after I had a Cookies and CreamQuest Bar and microwaved it! Defiantly my fav flavor!
Dinner
Dinner was in the dining hall and I had the norm. A giant grilled chicken salad with veggies and balsamic vinegar and an unpictured plate of jerk chicken with broccoli.
Snack
Today was my first time trying Pumpkin Spice Chobani and I loved it! Perfect flavor for fall! I topped it with some almond butter and bran flakes.
