The #Jesuschangedmylife movement originates from The Gospel Coalition. It is a movement that encourages Christians to share their personal testimony, how Jesus has changed their life. To learn more about this, click HERE.
Rachel’s testimony:
I grew up in church, I was baptized as an infant, received sacraments, learned about Jesus in CCD classes, but I saw Jesus as boring, just like church was for me. Life wasn’t about God, it was about gymnastics.
I was driven by my need to be successful, to be the best gymnast I could be. I did anything and everything I could to be counted as worthy in the sport. I’d practice extra and pushed friendships aside, all to strive for the excellence I thought that would satisfy me. I was drained and felt so empty inside trying to obtain something that would never fulfill me. Then I had a friend come to talk to me about Jesus. I pushed her aside at first, claiming that I “knew” Jesus, but in fact, I did not know Him at all. This created doubt in my heart that I could not push aside, I keep thinking to myself, “do I really know Jesus?”, “am I really going to heaven”? This lead to a few months of me seeking to know the truth. Then God had slowly started to reveal the truth in my heart. He showed me that Jesus was the one my heart was longing for all along. The only way to heaven and the only one that could satisfy my thirsting heart. Jesus came into the world to die for us and save us from the eternal destruction we all deserve. He offers new life and abundant joy for all those who follow him, that the world could never bring. Ever since the moment I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I have been set free of the law of sin and death, I have my name written in heaven, and I have not been the same, I have been changed for the better.
I am not saying that I still do not sin or that I am free from all trouble, but I now know that I am not defined by anything of this world, but my worth and identity comes from the One who never changes, the one who defeated death and offers eternal life to those who trust Him! I can have joy in any circumstance, because my hope and confidence is in the ever-changing rock, Christ. This world is full of trouble and tribulation but all of that is worth it when you know Jesus.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) #jesuschangedmylife

Psalm 107
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
