So let’s talk about my favorite fruit (besides watermelon), mangos.
Mangos are pretty dang awesome, not only are they super sweet and delicious, but they are also a nutritional powerhouse, making them the perfect snack. Mangos are especially great for athletes.
Mangos and other super fruits can help optimize athletic performances by delivering readily available carbohydrates, 20 vitamins & minerals and fiber all in a perfect 100 calorie serving!
As athletes, we both know the importance of healthy pre and post workout snacks to fuel our bodies. There is nothing more satisfying than coming home from a long gymnastics practice and sinking my teeth into a fresh, ripe, juicy mango.
Mangos don’t have to be eaten by themselves though, there are plenty of healthy and delicious recipes out there that contain mango in some form, ranging from coffee cake to jam to meatless meatballs.
Our new favorite way to eat mango is with avocado toast. Now, ‘cado toast has been trending for a while and as much as we both love it, we are starting to get sick of plain ‘cado toast.
Mango is the purrrrrrfect addition to this avocado toast, creating a sweet and savory taste with a slight spiciness from the sriracha almond butter drizzle. Needless to say, this ‘cado toast is the BOMB! Even if your not sick of the traditional avocado toast, you and your tastebuds will love this dressed-up-party-in-your-mouth version.
Eat this toast for breakfast, snack or even as a side dish to lunch or dinner. It’s filling, nutirious and full of flavor!

LOVE this combo! I agree that nothing beats a juicy, fresh and perfectly ripe mango. Except maybe fresh, perfectly ripe pineapple and watermelon? Ok, they tie. 😉
