We have the pleasure of sharing today’s post which is from one of our favorite bloggers, Kaila from Healthy Helper! She has an amazing healthy food and fitness blog that you will LOVE! Thank you and take it away, Kaila!
Hi everyone! You may know me from my blog, Healthy Helper, but if not let me introduce myself. My name is Kaila and I’m a twenty-something food and fitness lover with a passion for healthy cooking and helping other. On my blog you’ll find fit tips, delicious nutritious recipes, and daily inspiration on living your best life possible.
Rachel and Bethany are two of my favorite bloggers, so I am honored to be having out on Athletic Avocado for the day! Their recipes are amazing and I hope you enjoy what I’ve planned for you today.
Speaking of which, where are all my breakfast lovers at? I’m a food lover in general but breakfast is for sure my favorite meal of the day. Gotta love the first thing you get to eat during the day! it gets you started on the right foot and fuels you for everything you have to accomplish.
If you’ve like me you need something quick yet satisfying. Preferably something that doesn’t require cooking and can be thrown together in minutes. That’s where the Breakfast Bowl comes in.
Alternatively, I call this Lazy Gal’s Overnight Oats because it has all those same components, but is assembled in the moment instead of the day before. Same great taste, texture, and toppings without any pre-planning needed.
Let’s break it down.
1. Start with 1 cup of you favorite yogurt. Non-dairy is fine if you’re vegan!
2. Mix in 1/2 to 1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats.
3. Layer on chopped fresh or frozen fruit. If you’re feeling fancy, pull out your blender or food processor and blend together frozen bananas with 1 or 2 other frozen fruits to make a banana soft serve topping.
4. Choose your toppings! Anything goes here.
5. Sprinkle on a finisher…this can be any sort of last flavor booster to really jazz up your bowl.
