Hey guys, you know it’s almost Valentines Day, so we decided to share our love for you by posting this delicious dessert combination that will keep you coming back for more, enjoy!
You know those daily essentials that we all need to function properly during the day…..
A large mug of coffee
A good sweat sesh
A square of dark chocolate
and most importantly, a spoonful of peanut butter
All are completely necessary for a productive day. Like, you don’t wanna see me without any of these or I’ll probably be miserable. Okay, that’s an over-exxageration but you get the point, life is a little easier when you have some of these things daily. Notice how the last two are chocolate and peanut butter…..
You cannot tell me that this combo is not the best combo known-to-man. If I could have it my way, I would make every recipe on this blog chocolate and peanut butter themed but that wouldn’t work. So far we’ve made Energy Bites, Banana Ice Cream, Oatmeal and Granola Bars all containing this delicious flavor and I honestly can’t believe that we haven’t made more recipes chocolate and peanut butter themed! That’s where these Peanut Butter Pie Brownies come into play…..because CHOCOLATE & PEANUT BUTTER 4 LYFE✌🏼
These Peanut Butter Pie Brownies are made up of 3 layers:
Dense and fudgey peanut butter based brownie bottom
Creamy peanut butter mousse filling
Chopped regular and dark chocolate peanut butter cups + chocolate drizzle
Not only are these Peanut Butter Pie Brownies delicious, you would never guess that they are actually healthy too! They are completely gluten-free, dairy-free and contain a vegan option. If your a peanut butter lover, you MUST MAKE these!
- BROWNIE CRUST
- 1 cup peanut butter (can use another nut butter if you want)
- 1 egg or flax egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- PIE FILLING
- Coconut cream from 2 cans of full-fat coconut milk refrigerated overnight
- 6 tbsp smooth, natural peanut butter
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1.5 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- Peanut Butter Cups, chopped up
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and coat a glass 9x9 baking pan with cooking spray
- Mix all brownie curst ingredients together and spread in pan, bake for 25-30 minutes
- Add coconut cream in a large bowl with a mixer and whip until fluffy, about 30-60 seconds
- Add in peanut butter, 2 tbsp at a time and mix well
- Add in maple syrup and mix well
